Top Chef Recap time!
For the Quickfire Challenge, the cheftestants had to make stuffing....w/out the use of any utensils. And Fabio, the Italian genius that he is (he's a regular Da Vinci!), using a wire rack as a cheese grater. EWWW!!! Grody & unhygienic. On a personal note, my mother makes the best stuffing, it's apple, chestnut & sausage. The secret is to soak the bread in milk over night. Anyways, worst dishes were Carlas under cooked (un-donte) quinoa stuffing. I have no desire to ever taste quinoa. Tiffani's too sweet stuffing and Casey's not stuffing but appetiser. Winning immunity was Tre's south western style stuffing because, hey, everything's better w/ bacon.
For the Elimination Challenge, the cheftestants were split into two teams & had to cook head to head against an opposing chef using tennis scoring. Did I mention they were cooking on a tennis court? So Jamie bitched and moaned that her chickpeas weren't cooking and weren't cooking and weren't cooking. Hey, Jamie, guess what, chickpeas have to soak over night to cook properly! Thus, she kept refusing to compete. Totally lame. Fabio made gnocchi for the billionth time! Fabio, it's called "Top Chef" not "Top Gnocchi. Then Dale T. was acting like a snobby asshole to Carla because she planned on cooking African peanut stew. Well, suck on that Dale, Carla won! And packing it up was Spike. Thank God! Spike sucks! He tried to blame his dismissal on Angelo & Tiffani because they futzing w/ his dish. Ummm....no not so much. Spike ruined his first batch of shrimp & when he cooked his second batch he didn't season all the shrimp properly.
However, Jamie should have gone home, she never served her dish. That's twice now! You suck too, Jamie!
