Lights, Camera, Action

Hey, I'm posting. I couldn't resist spouting off on my opinions about movies and film. There's a difference! I have no idea if this will lead to continued posting. Il est ce qu'il est.

http://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/2012/07/movie-time-meme_14.html

Today we ripped off a blogger named Rianna from the blog Frankly My Dear. She reports that she stole it fromRachel. It was a short meme, so we scoured the Internet to find another movie meme. Then voilĂ ! We found a meme from Gilby 37 from the blog Random Ramblings of a Broadway, Film and TV Fan. She said that she got it from Meredith ofForeverClassics. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Take the time to comment on other player's posts. It's a great way to make new friends! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Sunday Stealing: The Movie Time Meme

1. What is your all-time favorite movie costume? Varla's sexy black jeans and low cut sweater from Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

2. What classic film would you nominate for a remake? I hate re-makes. Possibly Annie Hall. I don't know why but why not.

3. Name your favorite femme fatale. Charlize Theron, that bitch is tall and lethal and gigantic bottle of hotness.

4. Name the best movie title. Clockwork Orange, very pleasing on the tongue.

5. Describe the worst performance by a child actor that you’ve ever seen. The idiot kid from Mimic. He supposed to be some sort of genius and then the last 2 minutes of the movie he starts crying. Really bad fake crying!

6. Who gets your vote for most tragic movie monster? Godzilla. She's just trying to find a safe place to give birth

7. What is the one Western that you would recommend to anybody? I really hate Westerns but The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a fine redemption film and has a kick ass score

8. Who is your ideal movie-viewing partner? I have no preference. Alone, w/ my husband, w/ my family, who cares?

9. Has a film ever made you want to change your life? If so, what was the film? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind made me want to really live life to the fullest.

10. Think of one performer that you truly love. Now think of
one scene/movie/performance of theirs that is too uncomfortable for you to
watch. Gary Oldman getting murdered in Prick up your Ears. It's so heartbreaking.

11. On the flip side, think of one really good scene/performance/movie
from a performer that you truly loathe. Leonardo DiCaprio facing his dream demons w/ Ellen Page in Inception. I hate Dicaprio!

12. What is your favorite romantic comedy? Not a fan of the rom com at all BUT Breakfast at Tiffany's is an amazing film. It hits all the right notes!

13. What is your favorite drama? Pulp Fiction. Classic dialogue, really captures the height of the indie film boom.

14. Worst film you've seen? Cloverfield, shaky cam, terrible acting, implausible situations

15. How do you feel about the majority of romantic films being labeled "chick flicks"? It's a ridiculous labels as are most labels.

16. Favorite on-screen couple? John Candy and Macaulay Culkin, best on-screen chemistry ever!

17. Favorite off-screen couple? The Coen brothers.

18. Best kiss in a movie? Nic Cage and Cher in Moonstruck, right before they fuck for the first time

19. Favorite scene? Maria and the Captain dancing in The Sound of Music

20. Who are 2 film characters you wished had gotten together, but never did? Peter Sellers and Donald Sutherland, the cerebral and the sublime

21. Two actors you think would have great chemistry, but have never done a film together? Kate Winslett and Donald Sutherland. Guess I'm on a Donald kick today

22. Favorite song in a film (doesn't have to be from a musical)? Mad World - Gary Jules - Donnie Darko

23. Best score from a film? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it evokes that wistful feeling of having a crush and the beginning of a relationship

24. Best film quote? I have a ton! Right now: "Hey, Peter.....what's....happening?" Office Space

25. A film you'd recommend that is a "Must See" for us to watch? Fargo, funny and disturbing.

Nice to see your thoughts and opinions on the intrawebs again. The Magnificent Seven is my go to western. Yul Brynner saying "Clap your hands!" is a great scene.

Eternal Sunshine taught me to be patient, it's not youtube's fault that the vid keeps glitching on the same second over and over again, give it some time for the buffering and the settling...unless it's that it's me who is the glitch...

If you liked The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly you may like Unforgiven. It's a powerful film that transcends the whole "western" label.

Charlize is great, but my favorite femme fatale would have to be Greta Garbo.
