The Quotable Phairhead

I enjoy reading famous quotes. Some of them make me smile, laugh, think and even shed a tear. One of the funniest quotes that I've read recently was by none other than Albert Einstein. "Once you can accept the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something, wearing stripes with plaid is easy."

Thursday's Top Ten - What are your Top Ten favorite quotes?

I'm not really a quote person but I do have a few faves

"Though under Earth and throneless now I be, Yet, while I lived, all Earth was under me." C.S. Lewis

"...Tis the wind and nothing more..." Edgar Allen Poe

"The rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated." Mark Twain

"I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number you get in a diamond." Mae West

I love quotes. A lot.
"You gotta live while you're young before this world comes undone.
We gotta keep our heads high before this life passes by.
If it all falls apart, well, at least we had fun."

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times
when one only remembers to turn on the light."
-Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

"There's nothing like the deep breaths after laughing that hard.
Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons."
-The Perks of Being a Wallflower (Favorite book)

Those are all the good ones I have at the moment.

Anon: how astonishingly coincidental! I'm currently re-reading "The Perks of being a Wallflower"

What is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" about? I haven't heard of that one.

SL: it's a diary of a kid that is more of an observer of life than a participant of life
